In addition to
his fine guitar picking, Joey takes a turn at the vocals for two cuts on Bond Street's latest recording, Chickenshack Boogie Nights

Joe Patenaude was born and raised in a sleepy little fishing village on the Oregon coast. Ever since, he's been doing his best to wake up the citizens of his hometown...

"I started my professional music career in the band Blue Monday’s Realm. I was supposed to play Farfisa organ, but my folks backed out of buying it, opting for a guitar (and amp) instead. As my amp was the ONLY amplification in the band, including the P.A., they let me stay. But I wasn’t allowed to play guitar.

"I finally learned to play after going to a Grateful Dead New Year’s show in 1971. I knew what I had to do: get a good guitar and amp and learn to noodle."

Then came....

1972 - Mother Hubbard’s Wonderland Band
1974 - CERPH
1975 - Mo’ Hubbard’s Beefsteak Mine
1978 - to Eugene, Tony Sardini and the Waste Banned
          - to CA, in San Francisco, The Bees

Met John Lee Hooker in Music World, a store where I worked. Played a couple of gigs with him.

1985 - The All Nite Band
1988 - Buenatones
Moved to Oregon
1989 - The Blues Band
1990 - Blues Union
1990 - Bond Street Blues Band
1991 - Pagan Pancakes
2000 - Heather Christie

And many more.
